Four Horsemen and the Void

Ruby/Sapphire/ Spinel/Topaz/ Emerald

Reframing the forty stars, I found it interesting selecting stones for the classic figures. A yellowish/orange topaz for famine, deep green emerald for plague, pigeon-blood ruby for war, white sapphire for death (very Buddhist representation) and black spinel both for the void and roses bracing the skulls. Five sections of lucky-eight star rubies are spaced with further black spinels. -scl
